Year 5 sees the children enter Upper Key Stage 2, where a key focus is beginningto prepare them for the upcoming transition to secondary school. We focus on
consolidating the work done in previous years surrounding pupils’ independence and resilience. Children are asked to draw on what they have previously learnt to move forward in all areas of the curriculum.
In order to ensure our objectives are both immersive and engaging, children
participate in activities such as a Mexicolore workshop, a trip to Hampton Court
Place and a residential visit.
