Year 1

Our Year 1 curriculum provides pupils with a carefully supported transition from Reception, ensuring they settle smoothly into their new school routines.

We focus on building strong foundations in phonics, writing and maths, whilst building a love of Reading for Pleasure as well as a passion for learning in all areas of the curriculum.

The children still learn through play, as well as have opportunities to explore and discover the curriculum in creative ways, using a variety of resources to support them in their learning journeys.
