St Paul’s School prides itself in finding sustainable ways to travel to and from school. There are various initiatives that are operated at school throughout the year that encourage the children to travel in a healthier and greener way. For example, Golden Boot Challenge, Wheely Wednesday, Cycle Challenges, Car Free Green Days and our four Walking Buses.
As part of an effort to encourage everyone to use sustainable travel, since 2008 we have initiated 'Car Free Green Days'. These occur on the last Friday of each month during term time. On these days we encourage everyone to make an effort to help make a difference with congestion in and around our community.
The school’s 40 place bike rack is often bursting with bicycles and scooters. Well done to everyone who participated in the annual cycle challenge! There was an amazing effort made each day by everyone who was able to cycle or scoot to school. A really big thank you to the Specialized Concept Store in Kingston who kindly supplied a fantastic ‘Specialised’ Trek mountain bike at cost price and to all the prefects who stood on the gates each morning collecting tickets! Well done to all!
